THE MATERIAL’S CHARACTER

The light of stone, between order and freedom.

Brazilian quartzite offers richly shaded patterns, with white, yellow and pink selections. In regular formats, the rhythm of the joints organises the space; in crazy paving, irregular slabs create a freer texture. Beside greenery or a light façade, the natural surface creates material continuity between house and garden.

Regular slabs or crazy paving?

The 47×47 cm and 27×57 cm slabs allow regular compositions. Palladiana paving gives more space to each piece’s shape and requires allowance for cuts and waste. The catalogue includes different thicknesses and limited batches: choose the format, then check quantity and availability in the official product details.

BEYOND APPEARANCE

A good floor
starts with good design.

Hardness and surface

Quartzite is a quartz-rich rock and is generally hard. The trade name and the mineral’s hardness do not automatically assign a Mohs value to the slab purchased.

Resistance and use

The quartz-rich structure generally supports good wear resistance; comparing paving requires abrasion tests for the specific supply and finish.

Points to assess before laying

Before ordering, compare thickness, surface and batch: regular slabs and crazy paving do not have identical dimensions or climatic guidance. For pools and wet areas, the finish’s slip resistance must be checked.

USEFUL QUESTIONS

Before you choose.

Which colours and formats are in the catalogue?

The linked selections include white, yellow and pink crazy paving in different thicknesses, as well as regular slabs. The reference variant is 47×47 cm, with sawn edges and a thickness of approximately 1–2 cm. Availability varies by batch.

Is it natural stone or a composite material?

Pietrarredo presents the linked products as natural Brazilian quartzite quarried and processed in Brazil. Geological quartzite is a quartz-rich rock; it should be distinguished from composites made with quartz and resins. To identify the supply, refer to the product description and sample.

Is it suitable near swimming pools and in cold climates?

The reference slabs are listed for indoor and outdoor use and state frost resistance; some crazy paving selections are indicated for temperate climates. For a pool or wet area, check the finish and slip-resistance data. The terms non-slip or cool underfoot alone do not describe performance in every condition.
